AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION: On Thursday, July 28 and Sunday, July 31, the Symposium will be providing airport transportation in the form of Ohio State Shuttle Buses (shown to the right). The departure schedule can be found HERE.
Thursday Airport Pick-up: Buses will be located outside of baggage claim-several lanes over by the hotel shuttles pick-up and you will be dropped off on the north side of the Hyatt – by Starbucks.
Sunday Airport Drop-off: Buses will be located on the north side of the Hyatt (by Starbucks)/Convention Center West Connector
There are also numerous other options for transportation from Port Columbus to the Hyatt Regency and other downtown hotels. A taxi from the airport to downtown costs approximately $25. There is also inexpensive bus transportation called COTA Air Connect. The cost is $2,75 per person and the travel time from the airport to the hotel is approximately 56 minutes. Downtown Columbus is the heart of a vibrant city with a wide variety of restaurants, galleries, sports venues, and nightclubs. The Hyatt Regency is located on the north edge of downtown, with easy walking access to downtown attractions, the Short North District, and the Arena District.
Getting around Columbus is easy with a variety of options including Uber, Car2Go, and the COTA bus system. You can download a guide here. COTA also offers a free downtown circulator – the CBUS, which runs from the Short North Arts District to the Brewery District.
The campus of The Ohio State University is a short 5 minute drive north from the Hyatt Regency.
